Louvre Abu Dhabi sits under a vast 180-meter dome perforated to let light filter through like sunlight through palm leaves, floating over the water on Saadiyat Island. The permanent collection traces human creativity chronologically across civilizations rather than by geography, alongside pieces on loan from museums across France. It's one of the few attractions in the UAE built primarily for art and history rather than thrills.

Amazing place for those that enjoy history and museums. I would like to say all the staff especially security guards well done to you. Standing in one place all day is not as people think and such individuals are overlooked in numerous buildings but thank you for your service and keeping the guests safe whilst being alert as difficult as it is. I believe the Louvre should provide seating for the guards. But the museum is great.
a month agoA brilliant cultural landmark that beautifully connects global histories. The architecture alone is stunning, but the chronological galleries are the true highlight. The collection of Egyptian artifacts is deeply impressive, offering a fascinating look at ancient craftsmanship. Walking through the halls to see classical Roman and Greek sculptures alongside an excellent selection of paintings makes for an unforgettable experience. A world-class museum that masterfully bridges Eastern and Western art. It is an absolute must-visit on Saadiyat Island. **Booked the 70AED ticket in advance. Went on Sunday at 10am and spent 4 hours. No waiting time and not overcrowded. Place is clean, neat and properly organized.
